Исландские ученые установили связь между генами, отвечающими за творческие способности, и генами, отвечающими за психические расстройства.

Специалисты, изучив генетический материал более чем 86 000 жителей Исландии, выявили комбинации генов, связанных с повышенным риском шизофрении и биполярных аффективных расстройств, пишет Fox News. Затем исследователи стали искать похожие генетические вариации у группы более чем из 1000 представителей национальных творческих сообществ – художников, дизайнеров, писателей, актеров, музыкантов, пишут deti.mail.ru.

Результаты показали, что люди творческих профессий на 17% чаще имели комбинации генов, связанные с нарушениями психического здоровья, чем представители других сфер деятельности. Эти данные подтвердили результаты похожих исследований, проводившихся ранее, и лишь укрепили позицию ученых: способность к творчеству всегда подразумевает способность мыслить иначе, чем большинство.

Сказанное не означает, что все творчески одаренные дети рискуют рано или поздно столкнуться с расстройствами психики. Повторение генетических комбинаций вовсе не стопроцентно, а повышенный риск возникает прежде всего у малышей из семей, где уже наблюдались психиатрические заболевания. В этом случае генетический материал, полученный ребенком, может со временем трансформироваться в «разбавленную» форму душевного недуга. С одной стороны, для занятий творчеством это может быть даже благоприятно (вспомним многих великих поэтов и художников), но лишь при условии, что проявления болезни незначительны и не мешают человеку мыслить рационально.
